Shallow Water Stops our Barge during Passage | S1 EP27
With warmer weather comes shallow water which stops our barge while attempting passage into the bay. Our barge is fully loaded and the shallow waters are preventing us from reaching shore! This passage is in trouble… Melodi to the rescue!!
Shallow water can damage the prop on the barge motor. We have to be very careful because if we recklessly attempt passage and ground the barge, we would be stuck there until the water rises again, which wouldn’t be for another 6-9 months!
We have a rented excavator on board, and being 9 months late for a rental return would not be optimal…
