We are Clearing Land and Road Building | S1 EP21

We are now clearing a little more land for our work shop and building a short road to connect the shop to our cabin area. Now this is progress!

Some of our family has travelled to the island to lend a hand. Our brother in law is an experienced faller and his skills are welcomed wholeheartedly. He is such a hard-worker… he will be clearing land ahead of the excavator and will also that any potential widow makers are removed from the area.

A family friend is a machine operator by trade so we can expect a much better road building result by having him at the controls of the excavator. We are so excited and grateful to have them both here!

Melodi’s sister and niece are also here to help out with the tiny cabin construction and provide comic relief. It is just so nice to have family around. We will forever cherish our fireside laughter while eating s’mores.

We are so excited to sleep in our tiny cabin soon. Having an weather tight shelter with actual heat and room to move around in will be soooooo nice!
