We Launch our Barge and Try Sailing to our Island Base Camp | S1 E13

Well it’s official… today we finally launch our barge into the lake!

Will it actually float? We are anxious to get over to our island base camp and start mapping out what our little homestead will look like. Obtaining this barge has been a test of patience and faith for sure, but it has been so worth it! Today’s launch is the culmination of months of planning and logistics.

Our temporary island base camp is a bit sparse, with literally just a tent, a fire and a couple of portable washroom facilities – his and hers! We are happy to be there all the same.
