Join Our Cross-Canada Road Trip to Buy a Barge | S1 E6

Join us on as we embark on our cross-Canada road trip to buy a barge! Why did we go all the way to the Muskoka lakes in Cottage Country, Ontario you ask? Well, we would have preferred finding a barge closer to Vancouver, but none were available. So off we went to Foots Bay in Lake Joseph, Ontario to pickup our barge.

This will be an epic road trip! We even have a rare encounter with a Canadian mama moose and her two babies! As the largest member of the deer family, the moose is a national symbol of Canada, and is even featured on the Ontario Coat of Arms. Did you know that? (We sure didn’t)

In this episode we discuss our plans for the island, how we are going to tackle building out the infrastructure, the rationale for some of the choices we’ve made so far, including how we came to purchase a barge from across the country… sight unseen! Actually, this is the third time that has happened… first the island, then the trailer, now the barge — all bought before we even laid eyes on them! That seems to be our thing…
