Dangerous Blown Tire on Road Trip with Overloaded Trailer | S1 E8

We are excited to start our our cross Canada road-trip back to British Columbia.

We haven’t even been on the road for a day when we have a full tire blow-out on the trailer hauling our barge. It seems the barge may be a lot heavier than we had calculated. Ryan did the math on the material and it shouldn’t be more than 5-1/2 tons. However, you don’t get blown tires with light loads, so something seems amiss somewhere.

This road-trip is turning out to be a bit more perilous than we envisioned. We only have three inches of road clearance so any bumps on the road will be quite, shall we say… “impactful”!

During one particularly harsh storm, we find ourselves pelted by wind and rain and desperately looking for safe harbor to dock our barge!

We also encounter a black bear foraging right beside the highway! Watch us work with inspectors from the CVSE inspection. It really is our top priority to ensure that we keep safe and healthy waters around our beloved island. We were rightly issued a decontamination order to prevent any potential Zebra mussel contamination, which are listed as an invasive aquatic species. You’ll learn all about that in this episode.
