To begin with, we need to add an inverter to our system. One inverter produces 120 volts, while two inverter in parallel will allow us to achieve a split-phase power supply of 240 volts.  There are propane powered toilets out there, but this incinerator toilet runs on 240 volts. So as long as there is a sun in the sky, our incinerator toilet will do its job!

Next, we focus on burying the lines that will connect to the toilet to the power panel in the cabin. This involves some physical labor, but it’s necessary to protect the wiring from the elements and maintain the aesthetic of our homestead.

As we work, a loud crack was heard, followed by a thud. It turned out a tree had fallen nearby. It was a large tree, but thankfully it didn’t cause any damage to our new infrastructure. We took some time to check the surroundings and ensure everything is safe before continuing our project.

Now, it’s time to make the final electrical connections. The most imporant rule in electrical work is to make sure all your connections are tight and well insulated. These steps are critical for the safe operation of our solar powered toilet.
