Cleaning Up Our Remote Island Homestead
Living off the grid on our private island has been nothing short of spectacular. We recently took a trip off the island to run some errands, but once we returned, it was time to roll up our sleeves and dive into some much-needed cleanup and organization. This week, we also started filming our very first product review, which added an exciting twist to our day. Each moment spent in this wilderness is truly a dream come true.

Running Errands Off the Island
Our recent trip off the island was filled with unexpected detours due to wildfires, but the scenery was beautiful nonetheless. We were grateful to finally see a clear blue sky after weeks of smoke. While navigating the detours, we appreciated the stunning landscapes and the variety of wildlife we spotted along the way.

Cleaning Up Our Island
Once back on the island, we noticed some areas needed our attention. Every time we leave, it feels like we’re dragging our heels, but the excitement of returning to our homestead always makes it worthwhile. We began clearing some sharp sticks that had been a nuisance, especially when driving off the barge. Using the Saker Mini Electric Chainsaw, we easily tackled the overgrown areas that had been causing issues for our truck.

First Product Review
This week marked a milestone for us as we filmed our first product review. We were excited to try out the Saker saw, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. It made quick work of the branches and made our paths much safer. We love sharing our experiences with tools and products that help us in our off-grid lifestyle. We also obtained this little piece of bird art that we attached the wall inside the cabin. Isn’t it cute?

Life on the Homestead
Each day spent on the island is a gift. We are continually making progress on our homestead, and with each step, we feel more connected to this land. The challenges we face, like wildfires and equipment issues, only make us stronger. We have exciting plans for the future as we continue to build and expand our infrastructure. Our little slice of paradise is becoming more and more like home every day.
